#2474 : The Cock Inn, Ringmer - Another fine sunny evening – the assembled made the few steps from the pub to pay their tribute to Bob Luck (Airman) at his stile. After photos, the runners hurtled across the field, whilst the walkers headed north - 11 runners & 10 walkers. The runners headed off to Barcombe Mills & were halted by a combine harvester ploughing the fields – that’s a new one to stop the speedsters! The hares were with the walkers so Mudlark backmarked. All was going well, until the turn, when Pondweed took a wrong trail – the pack went off in another direction & the impromptu fish hooks were ignored to back track to Pondweed. Meanwhile, Peter Pansy elected to do his own adhoc fish hook, before the real fish hook – but still didn’t fish hook to the back of the pack!

Back at the pub, Pompette generously bought the first round. Pondweed gave down downs to the hares, Pompette & On On Don – together with Mudlark. Trouble had scooted off early & avoided a down down, Shoots Off Early was awarded, together with Just David – who appears to have selected his own name & for wearing new shoes & Peter Pansy – for being Peter Pansy.

Thanks were given to the pub for opening just for the Hash.
