Run #2377
02/09/2024
Brighton
New start time of 19:00.
#2377 - Loud Shirt Brewery, Kemptown - Knightrider, obviously feeling flush on his retirement, had put his card behind the bar at the Loud Shirt Brewery. Would he need to return to work to pay off the bar bill after the evenings antics? Hopefully not! And so a lovely summer's evening saw the pack head out of the industrial estate on Boundary Rd and S towards the sea, crossing the A259 and down into the marina via the zig zag path E of Marina Way. Turning through the first tunnel (W of Cineworld) and E all the way along the waterside then N to Undercliff Walk and back up to the A259. E along the A259 to the crossing just after Roedean Rd then N, over Roedean Way and into the fields. Trail continued N to the golf course where a hidden mark (back on a fishhook) would find the trail turning W through and then SW around the golf course back down to Roedean Rd and On Inn.
Back at the brewery, and after most people had managed to source food from local establishments, NN RAing called up the hares (KR and Mudlark) with DDs to "Here's to the Hares". Next, a number of birthday celebrations - Lily The Pink, Hash Gomi (both on Thursday), Local Knowledge (today), KR (last week, and hence the retirement party) and Psyclepath - DDs to "Hashy Beerday". And finally for the DDs, a number of offences all called up together: Chaos (for using chalk from the cliff to mark trail, but in the wrong direction), Half Moon (for forgetting her running shoes in her locker and instead wearing her gym shoes on the hash), KR (for giving details to everyone about the curry house which had shut down two days before), Fukarwe (for veering off trail before the Fishhook), Ride It Baby, Prince Crashpian and Private Dancer (PC for leading RIB astray, RIB for being led astray and SCBing, and PD for SCBing at Roedean) and, deliberately saving the best for last, Bouncer (who had gotten to a check and then gone down a route to urinate, only picking the right direction to do so!); DDs for all to "You're Stupid". A few quick announcements would see the evening closed out - stiles for Dangleberry and Prof were being looked into (with DB's in Hassocks but Prof's location to be confirmed), and the Christmas hash was voted on with options being remaining at The Hassocks (a stunned silence with only LK speaking up), The Swan at Falmer on the 16th (some cheer here) and finally The Ladies Mile at Patcham on the 23rd (which was a resounding winner from the agreement on hash). - Nasty Nips
